I
did complaint about this attempted intimidation by Fintan Nicholls but was stonewalled, I am guessing the reason this questionable
charity will not answer as to any action being taken against Fintan Nicholls is that they expected me to back down, but 'backing
down' is one trait that I don't possess, backing down has never been an option. Much like lying, it's something I'm not
that good at so I don't do it, I'll leave that up to the likes of carers voices, for a group to conduct itself like that one does
gives Carers a bad name.
I was a little surprised to keep getting emails and phone calls from people I had became acquainted with since
setting up UK Carers asking why it wasn't around anymore, why wasn't there someone willing to ask difficult questions of political
parties and Carer charity workers regarding the continued exploitation of Carers by these same people.
I am a little reluctant in
setting up again because of the group that have made the online Carer community an unsafe place to use or be a part of BUT, it seems
there is still a place for an honest website where people don't hide behind aliases to harass people, who's members don't organise
mass postings to remove valid points of view and who don't keep making spurious reports to police forces to attempt to intimidate
Carers, and this group know who they are.
So it's back to the business of asking difficult questions of the people that screw over
Carers, UK Carers is opening for business as the New Year begins.
UK Carers won't be supporting any protest organised by the Carers
Poverty Alliance because it isn't "an alliance" it is a group of people that endorse and collude in forgery and internet stalking,
the group that has decimated the online Carer community, they are a disgrace and have isolated themselves because of their actions.
It is fair comment to say many (many, yeah right!) of the people who take part in that group are not real Carers.
UK Carers will be
contacting as many organisations, MP's and media sources as possible to inform them of the actions of this group. This was done the
last time this group attempted to organise a protest and was successful and the protest failed
.
So What Happens Next?
Well it's already
started actually, old contacts are being told that UK Carers is up and running, a 'freedom of speech' hosting company have been in
place for a while now and know of the devious games some people play to try to drive UK Carers offline.
I allowed our old domain
(www.ukcarers.org.uk) to expire because I didn't think there would be a need to use it, that was a mistake on my part but not a disastrous
one. I still don't see a forum as being that much use now but there will be a couple around just in case.
So, business as usual
then, with charities trying to control and suppress any voices of dissent it is more important than ever to make sure there is a voice
battling against the self-interested charities and organisations that are making sure Carers and the people they 'care for' are kept
in poverty.
