IAN ROBERTSON DIES I just read than the chairman of the PRTC has died. I’d like to say I’m sorry to hear this BUT, I’m no hypocrite. I have had cause to contact the bloke and found him as useless as the rest of the Princess Royal Trust for Carers staff.
He may have made a lot of money for the Trust (sic) but he also GOT a lot of money from his role as chairman.
It would be nice to see Carole Cochrane be as interested in the health and safety of Carers as she was for this well-paid staff member, she isn’t.
As a Carer for over 17 years I can say whatever he and the PRTC have ‘supposedly’ done for Carers is very little, with the forthcoming cuts in Housing Benefits and retesting of DLA claimants things will get WORSE for Carers and the people they care for.
I’m not such a sycophant as to say “what a great guy he was” when (from the contact I’ve had with him) he is was so disinterested with the protection and safety of Carers as to be totally useless, Carole Cochrace being a few rungs below him for honesty and trustworthiness in my opinion.

Yup that’s right, there are more legally entitled benefits left unclaimed than benefit fraud and error combined. So why are the ConDom coalition targeting benefits when they don’t need to and neglecting closing tax evasion/avoidance? Most likely because they still have their snouts in the trough, still getting their asses on board that gravy train.

A couple of paragraphs that are worth taking in are-
1- The estimated amount lost to fraud for 2009/10 was £60 million, less than a quarter of the amount not paid to people through errors leading to underpayments.
Looking at the balance of payments caused by error, it can be seen that errors caused £160 million in overpayments, but amounted to £290 million in underpayments.
Of this figure for underpayments, £280 million was customer error, when as a DWP spokesman explained, a “customer is getting less than there entitlement, either due to a mistake or omission by the customer or due to mistake or omission by a government official.
“Estimates of underpayments in the Fraud and Error report only include customers that are getting less than they are entitled to and do not include those people who are entitled to benefit, but who do not apply, or those whose applications are not awarded when they should be.”
Underpayments included in the figures account for far more money than the combined amount for people erroneously or fraudulently claiming too much.
This suggests that for the most part, errors in DLA payments work out in favour of the DWP.
2-But these figures show that if Iain Duncan Smith managed to create a system with all DLA claimants receiving the correct amount, the Government could actually stand to lose several million.
So why is the coalition targeting the poor and vulnerable? Because they are the least likely to fight back, typical Tory attitude but this time it’s endorsed by the Lib Dems, nice one Nick

I cannot believe that Carers UK keep on stating THIS
Carers UK fought for and won the first ever benefits for carers in 1975 and has consistently
campaigned for improvements to Carer’s Allowance.
It’s simply not true, there is NO PROOF that Carers UK brought into being Carers Allowance in any way-shape or form, it’s just a shamed charity trying to claim something it failed to do. Now people can contact them and ask them for proof BUT Carers UK won’t supply anything that they don’t want to, such as the fictional abusive emails that I’ve constantly demanded they provide people access to (after waiving all Data Protection Act rights). It’s a similar case with Rob Kay’s forgery and statement that he was going to post the reply I left on the scam-line he set up, as there is no proof on either case that 1- abusive emails were sent, and 2- that I in any way I said I would accept anything the PRTC would offer, again I challenge the well-known cyber stalker to post the recording (which would also be an admission that he forged Carole Cochrane’s signature, so don’t hold your breath waiting for that particular obsessed individual to do anything)
Carers UK like a quiet and docile membership (it’s why it only allows those people that agree with it’s CEO and corrupt staff to join and not those that want to change things so the emphasis is on Carers not staff salaries), even though it still keep insisting it isn’t ‘controlled/brought/owned’ by government the proof that the government is throwing over £12,000,000 at national charities and refusing to state if the charities will still be impartial and risk losing their ‘bribes’ is clear-

Carers UK, owned and paid for by the government of the day. While it’s members quietly endorse this corrupt and immoral charity then Carers will continue to get screwed.

It appears that the CARERS POVERTY ALLIANCE is having trouble with backers and selling raffle tickets! Strange about the raffle tickets because according to Christine Steal there where MANY Carers that wanted to attend the last (scarcely attended) protest but couldn’t, that they would have been queuing up to buy raffle tickets. They don’t seem that interested.
Also it’s rumoured that people are backing away from a group that collude to make false allegations to the police and DWP in an attempt to harass and intimidate those that don’t agree with their nasty little ways. It also appears that people are believing their eyes rather than the lies of the CPA after receiving proof of their actions.
You can’t blame people for backing away from scum like that.
Carers have known for a long time that the CPA cannot be trusted, now others are seeing that also, and these people have my admiration for doing so

Right now the press seems to be helping the ConDom alliance in their witch-hunt against disabled people. Unlike the aged whinger HERE some of us have made a report to the Press Complaints Commission the day the article in the Sun was printed. Some of us aren’t scared of the moronic louts that spout misinformation regarding disabled people and DLA.
Speaking about idiot websites and misinformation we then go to this site BENEFIT FRAUD IN THE UK owned by this organisation- Miles and Page Ltd of Calder Avenue, Brookmans Park, Hatfield, Herts. I’ve contacted them to give them a chance to prove their statistics and statements because what’s posted on that website is b*llsh*t quite frankly. The stats are out of date, the intimation that there is more ‘disability related fraud’ is clearly wrong even by the site’s owners own figures (he should apply to join the staff of Carers UK his figures are that wrong) I’ve got one email back as of yet but NO proof of where the figures were obtained. A complaint to the hosting company will of course follow as it clearly breaches the TOS that the site is hosted on.
Then we have the usual false report of Carers UK to the Charity Commission HERE (pdf file) . They state on page 10 that “The forum on our website continues to thrive with 733 regular forum contributors“, it doesn’t, it has 20 or 30 infrequent posters at most. Ths is the same charity that states there are 6 million Carers!
It also states “In this year we have seen an overall increase in unique visitors to our website growing by 30% to 385,321” as most of those can be seen to be spammers/bots (if you check the membership list) then it proves that Carers UK cannot be trusted to provide ‘real’ figures to the Charity Commission, oh, and I’m still waiting for either the abusive emails that I have supposed to have sent Carers UK to be printed/posted or a full apology from this discredited inept self-serving charity……but as the claimed emails are as ‘real’ as the statistics Carers UK provides to it’s own regulatory body then they won’t be provided, they CAN’T be provided because they don’t exist, it’s another example of Carers UK lying to anyone and everyone and then hiding behind it’s charity status when asked to provide proof.
The rest of the figures on helping people to attain benefits has to be looked on with deep suspicion. The only figures that are likely to be accurate are the ones for salaries

to just 39 staff actually working for the charity
thats an average of £39,204 per year!
It seems exploiting Carers pays well!
Some of us aren’t afraid to ‘mix it’ with the tabloid idiots who seem to be quite happy to follow the ConDom coalition’s lead in vilifying disabled people. As for this?

We are extremely concerned and angry about this kind of coverage. Carers UK takes an active lead in the Disability Benefits Consortium – which is a group of disability charities. We will be working with them to ensure that response is consistant and comes from across the whole charity sector
So where is the response? There’s nothing on the DISABILITY BENEFITS CONSORTIUM SITE a week on. And Carers UK states it takes it’s lead from the DBC but then also claims to be the ‘Voice Of Carers’?!! Which is it? As charities are relying more and more on government funding it’s highly UNLIKELY that Carers UK will “bite the hand that feeds them”, and anyone stupid/gullible enough to think otherwise needs their bumps read.
Carers can look forward to a long hard 5 years if this coalition lasts the full term and can expect no help from the likes of Carers UK or the Princess Royal Trust for Carers

Couple of things that hit me after traversing the unreal world that is Carers UK.
It appears that Carers UK state that they have over 700 ‘active’ posters on their forum in a report to the Charity Commission……urm, no they don’t, never have had that many active posters and never will have. It seems Carers UK deem it correct to lie to anyone and everyone. I’m still waiting for these fictional abusive emails that I have supposedly sent Carers UK to be placed anywhere online or emailed to me. They don’t exist, it is a lie being used by a corrupt charity to justify their support of certain people and former directors.
It also strikes me funny reading this
Since the poster and her friends have knowingly made numerous false complaints to the police and about benefit fraud to the DWP to then post that load of b*ll*cks shows that dear old ‘Prozac Parsifal’ ain’t got a clue what she has done. Even her neighbour was the target of a hate campaign by the woman who made false complaints to her local police, even saying that her neighbour stole a bag of potatoes from her doorstep!
Next we have that poster and an employee of Carers UK stating prostitution is perfectly acceptable
Many prostitutes are forced into the ‘sex industry’ so are we hearing from a national charity that it’s okay to exploit abused women? To insist it’s perfectly acceptable to use women that are so desperate for money for drugs/alcohol/basic necessities etc?
So who takes the blame for and STD’s caught because of this acceptance of the exploitation of women? Perhaps after getting Direct Payments to procure a prostitute then Carers UK will push the government to introduce grants for private medical help in clearing up any infection caught, HIV or AIDS anyone?
It’s another planet on Carers UK’s site, stunning ignorance with a dash of hypocrisy and loads of ignorance and a stench of corruption

The Sun has never been the best of tabloids but it seems to have sunk to a new low. It’s running a ‘SHOP A BENEFIT CHEAT’ campaign which might just be worth challenging.
Reading through the PRESS COMPLAINTS COMMISSIONS website it states newspapers (tabloids) should adhere to certain codes of practice–

The Sun seems to be behaving in a questionable way and it needs to be fought (though some cowardly old hags prefer to bitch and whine and keep their heads down like HERE, though Parsifal’s replies are odd considering she took part in the Carers Poverty Alliance’s group false reporting of benefit fraud).
While I can understand the charity muppets doing nothing, saying nothing to defend disabled people and their Carers on tabloid comment sections because they are so feeble of mind as to think places like Carers UK and the PRTC will actually fight for them (don’t make me laugh) there are still some of us that will respond and react to misinformation like this.
I’d urge all decent Carers to file a complaint against the Sun http://www.pcc.org.uk/complaints/form.html because as well as the misinformation and the likely false reports of benefit fraud from people like Annie and her friends at the Carers Poverty Alliance, what the Sun will also have is a large database of names and addresses and you have to wonder what they will do with those names. The governments ‘Spending Challenge’ website was taken down after complaints about it’s content, it’s possible The Sun could be forced to justify it’s actions if enough complaints were received.

It looks like David Cameron is using some BORDERLINE CRIMINAL to ‘advise’ the ConDems on cutting public spending!
Billionaire retailer Sir Philip Green is to advise David Cameron on cutting Government spending.
The Monaco resident has been recruited to lead a review scrutinising the past three years in order to identify waste.
But the appointment is likely to raise eyebrows in some quarters because of publicity surrounding his tax affairs.
Sir Philip, who left school at 15 to go into business, is a UK resident, who lives in London hotels during the week.
But his business empire is mostly owned in the name of his wife Tina, who lives in the tax haven of Monaco, where Sir Philip spends his weekends. The couple moved there in 1998.
The arrangement is thought to have saved the couple tens of millions of pounds in tax over the years.
What a disgrace!
While the Dave & Nick shows seems content to attack the poor and vulnerable they also equally content to use some borderline criminal who is conning the country out of millions each year.
The Tories at their best. They are managing to get people to think that those on benefits are the real economic loss to the UK when in reality it is their millionaire backers and friends that cost the UK far far more in tax avoidance/evasion than benefit fraud.
It’s going to be a long hard road while the coalition is in power, still at least they are doing a similar thing to what Labour did in paying off charities to help them (more to follow on that later)
